Every luggage is booked after reading and accepting the following Terms and Conditions of the Parcel booking office and the Transport Company
The nature, content, conditions, and values of the consignments are unknown to the A1Travels and Speed Parcel Service (Hereinafter called the company). All consignments accepted by the company for dispatch through the vehicle are carried entirely at the Consignor’s/Consignee's risk.
Goods meant for transport should comply with all Government rules and should provide all the necessary documents like Forms, Documents, Self-declaration, Certificates, Tax invoices, E-Way bills, etc., required under the law of the land for verification by Government Authorities at Check Posts and other places for the materials booked and the Company is not responsible in the event of the goods being detained or seized or confiscated by such appropriate Government Authorities for any deficiencies in the said documents or for any other reasons.
All the parcels should be enclosed/ tagged with the appropriate copy of the Tax Bill /e-way bills/R.C., and necessary documents (in the case of two-wheelers self-declaration for transit damages). Any issues with the Tax/ Government Authorities shall be the responsibility of the Consignor/Consignee. The Company will be at liberty to detain the goods at the risk of the consignor/consignee unless and until the loss suffered by the Company in this respect is made good.
It is the duty of the consignor to obtain and furnish at the time of booking itself the requisite/relevant documents In case of such commodities are Liable for excise duty. The Company shall not be responsible for any detention or seizure or confiscation of such commodities by any excise/sales tax or any other competent authorities on suspicion or otherwise.
The consignor is liable for all consequences arising out of the incorrect declaration of the contents of the consignments. If such a wrong declaration is made then the consignor shall be responsible to compensate the company for all the damages and expenses caused by such a wrong declaration.Dangerous/inflammable goods and Contraband articles are not permitted to be carried in the vehicle. If booked without our knowledge, the luggage owner/ their agents have to bear the sole responsibility on check by authorized officials for such goods.
The Company reserves the right to accept goods for dispatch without assigning any reason.
All the goods valued above Rs.500/- are to be insured by the consignor before booking. Otherwise, goods are to be carried at the Consignor’s risk. No claim will be settled above Rs.500/- per LR in case of any damage/loss in transit.
The Company is not responsible for the internal damages to the contents of packages or damages to unpacked goods or damages to perishable articles by deterioration or damage to fragile/easily broken articles.The company is not responsible for the contents of packages if the packages are delivered in the same apparent condition in which they are tendered for dispatch by the consignor.
Goods/Parcel may be booked by means of Paid/ To Pay basis and delivered to the destination at our branch office only. On requisition, Door delivery may be done with extra charges by 3rd Party arrangements.
Confirmation of Parcel booking is against the Password - One Time Password (OTP) provided by the Consignor or his authorized person which has been sent to his mobile number that is provided at the time of parcel booking and likewise, Parcel delivery at the destination is against the OTP provided by the consignee which has been sent to his mobile number that is provided at the time of parcel booking by the Consignor/ Consignee or his authorized person.
The Consignor or his authorized person has to ensure and satisfy themselves that the mobile numbers (of the Consignor/Sender/ Consignee) furnished by them are correct as the Parcel booking and delivery is against the OTP sent to the mobile numbers of the Consignor and Consignee respectively that are provided by the Consignor/sender at the time of parcel booking.
Without furnishing the OTP, the booking will not be done/confirmed/completed, likewise, without furnishing the OTP, the parcel delivery will not be done.
Furnishing of OTP by the Consignor/ Sender and Consignee/Receiver is the only proof of parcel booking and proof of parcel delivery as the case may be.
In addition to the above OTP-based delivery, the person taking delivery of the parcel should furnish any of the Govt. approved Identity Proofs at the time of delivery.
Proof of Parcel booking at the time of booking and the delivery (POD) at the time of delivery will be shared via SMS immediately as the case may be to the mobile numbers provided at the time of booking. This is subject to TRAI rules.
Transportation of Parcels on the same day is subject to the availability of a vehicle & none on holidays. Timing, Departures of Parcels, and Arrivals are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice. However, the parcel will be delivered within a reasonable time at the delivery place. And in case of any misplaced parcel, the minimum time limit required to locate the misplaced parcel is 30 days.
Loading and unloading charges will be levied either at the parcel's booking office or the parcel's delivery office for the paid / to-pay parcels as the case may be.
Due to improper packing of the parcels, if any items in the consignment are lost or damaged in transit/ storage in the office, theft, weather conditions, strikes, riots, disturbances, fire, explosion, natural calamitiesor accidents the Company will not be held liable, even though the Company shall take every care for safe transportation of the Parcel & in time. The Company shall not be held responsible for any breakage/damage that happened to any fragile items booked while loading/ in transit/unloading.
Parcels will be delivered only against the production of the original LR by the consignee or as declared by the Consignor at the time of booking.Working hours of the delivery offices will be 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
Consignee shall collect their Parcels within 72 hours of its arrival to its destinations by producing the LR copy and OTP and appropriate Identity proof of the person who is taking delivery of the parcel and the company is not responsible for damages to any Parcels that are not collected within this time limit as the storage facility is minimal. It is the responsibility of the CONSIGNOR to inform the CONSIGNEE about the booking of the parcels by sending the original LR to the consignee to enable them to make delivery of the goods.
All "Paid & To pay” goods that are not taken delivery from the destination station within 07 days from the date of arrival are subject to Freight amount at the following rate
From: 07 days to 14 days = 20% Extra
15 days to 30 days = 30% Extra
Beyond 30 days = 100% extra + Other Charges.
The minimum demurrage is fixed at Rs. 10 per Parcel.
The consignment will be re-booked to the STORAGE DEPOT without any further Intimation if the delivery thereof is not taken by the consignee at the destination within 30 days from the date of receipt.The Consignor/Consignee shall take delivery of the consignment by surrendering the original LR after paying all charges including the incidental expenses and the rebooking freight and demurrage due on the consignment.
Any inquiry regarding the parcel shall be made in writing within 10 days from the date of booking of the Parcel.
The Company shall have the right to dispose of the perishable goods that are not collected within 24 hours without any notice and other goods after 30 days of their arrival if not taken delivery by the Consignee.
No suit shall be filed against the Company in respect of any consignment without a claim made in writing on that behalf and preferred within 10 days from the date of booking.
All disputes are subject to Coimbatore jurisdictions only. In case of any dispute between the parties and the Carrier regarding any Claim that may arise in respect of the consignment entrusted to the Carrier for transport, the Court at Coimbatore alone shall have the jurisdiction.
Booking of Items such as Cash, Share Certificates, Gold Jewelry, Cheques, Demand Drafts, Mobile/ Cell Phones, and banned Items, are not acceptable to the Company and the Company is not responsible for any compensation for the loss of the above items.
The claim/ liability of the company is restricted to ten times the amount of freight charges of the LR or the company's assessed value of the goods, or Rs.500/- whichever is lower, provided the claim is received by the company within 30 days of booking the goods.
All other terms and conditions are subject to change at any time at the discretion of our company without any notice to the consignor/consignee
Booking Guide
Modes of Booking
Paid:Where the consignor pays at the time of booking the consignment. The consignees need not to pay anything at the time of delivery except loading the parcels to their Consignee’s vehicle if any. PartlyPaid:Where the consignor pays part payment at the time of booking the consignment. The consignees needto pay the balance amount as shown in the Luggage Receipt at the time of delivery plus Loading charges to load the parcel to their Consignee’s vehicle if any.
PartlyPaid:Where the consignor pays part payment at the time of booking the consignment. The consignees needto pay the balance amount as shown in the Luggage Receipt at the time of delivery plus Loading charges to load the parcel to their Consignee’s vehicle if any.
Topay:Where the consignor books the consignment without paying anything. The Consignee would have to pay the freight charges at the time of delivery and Loading charges to load the parcel to their Consignee’s vehicle if any.
Billing:This mode is given only to regular customers, where a bill containing the details of all the bookings made in a month is sent to them at the end of that particular month. Usually the credit period allowed is about 15 days from the date of submission of the bill.
Types of Delivery
There are 2 types of delivery.
The type of delivery can be chosen at the time of booking the consignment. This can also be later on changed at the destination office, based on the Consignee’s convenience/ request and feasibility to effect the requested change.
Office/ Godown Delivery:Where the consignee comes to our nearest/destined office and collects the consignment himself. No fee is collected if the consignee picks it up within 7 days from the date of arrival at the destination office. But after that, a nominal demurrage charge would be collected as shown in the detailed Terms and Conditions of the Parcel booking policy.
Door Delivery:Where the consignment is delivered at Our Nearest office/ destined office and Third party may be engaged for local delivery like Auto, Van, Tata Ace, A nominal charge will be collected by them for this service, and the rate may be collected as agreed at the time of booking the parcel or as agreed by the Consignee at the time of effecting the door delivery, which is not included in the basic freight.
Banned Goods
The following goods are banned for transportation, and they must not be booked under any circumstances.
Rationed goods, Animals, Birds, Gas cylinders, Sandalwood, Forest produce goods, Bones / Horns, Cardamom, Cloves, and other contraband goods, Khanja, Liquor, Spirit, Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, Oil, Acids, Chemicals, Crackers/ Explosives, Match boxes and other flammable goods, Weapons, Bullets, Untanned Leather, Skins & Hides, Live animals, Birds, Dead bodies of Human beings and Animals, Batteries (with Acid), Charcoal, Unpacked - Cinema Films, Cotton Bales, Dry Leaves, Woolen Goods, Currency Notes, Gold, Silver, Diamond, valuable jewels and any other goods banned by State and Central Government.
Goods on Conditions
The following goods are booked for transportation with following conditions only.
Two- Wheelers - Packing should be done FULLY to avoid Mirror and Headlight, Stand damage, Petrol should be drained completely and RC copy and Self Declaration for the Two Wheelers transportation should be attached. Only PAID.
BOOKS and Perishable Commodities - Only PAID
SAMPLEs & STONES - Only PAID
GST Tax Details
The service tax norms for the transport industry are simplified as follows:
GST tax is charged at 5% of the total freight.
GST will be payable under RCM by the consignors or consignees who fall under the following category:
Factories registered under factories act, Companies established under companies act, Corporations/ Organaisations established under any law, Societies registered under societies registration act, Co- Operative societies established under any law, Dealer of excisable goods registered under central excise law, Any corporate body established under any law.
Tax will not be charged for those customers who
Fruits, Vegetables, Fish and Milk, salt, and food grains (including flour, pulses, and rice), Agricultural produce, Organic manure items, Relief materials meant for victims of a natural or man-made disaster, Newspaper or magazine that is registered with the Registrar of Newspapers, Defence or military equipment
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Any parcel booked can be canceled before loading the parcels into our transshipment vehicles. If a “Paid” parcel is canceled, the total amount paid by the customer will be refunded without any cancellation charges. If it is a “To-Pay” parcel, the customers need not pay any amount as cancellation charges.
Refund towards failed transactions:
Due to network conjunction, timeout issues, or if you were trying to use more than one window while booking or using the stored session from the history page or using of Back Button, or browsers other than IE, you may receive the wrong debit from your account. On a daily basis, the payment report from the Payment Gateway banks is analyzed by an expert in-house team along with the tickets issued a report (Except on holidays). Any discrepancy arising out of network congestion or out of the user’s negligence is identified, checked, and refunded on a day-on-day basis. These refunds are processed by the respective gateways as used by the user and sent back to the issuing bank (user’s card banker) in batches, which should approximately take about 5 working days. A1 Travels and Speed Parcel Service offer no guarantees whatsoever for the accuracy or of the time factor of the refunds reaching the Customer's card/bank accounts. This is on account of the multiplicity of organizations involved in the processing of online transactions, the problems with the Internet infrastructure currently available, and the working days/holidays of financial institutions.
